Blessing Bags
In partnership with the Gwinnett Police Department and Home First Gwinnett, The Nett Church is responding to those experiencing homelessness through what we call Blessing Bags. Blessing Bags provide a tangible way to help our neighbors without addresses. Providing a Blessing Bag to someone meets the immediate needs by supplying them with basic materials such as toiletries, water, food and warmth.
Blessing Bags are ideal to have stored in your home, workplace, or vehicle, available to use if you are in a situation where you find a neighbor in need.
We encourage you to put together your own blessing bag by using the checklist we are providing below. Pack any of the following items in a gallon sized ziplock bag.

- Toiletries: Travel Toothbrush and Toothpaste, Soap, Deodorant, Shampoo/conditioner, Comb, Personal hygiene items if you’re making a kit for a woman (tampons, pantyliners, pads, etc), Sunscreen, Chapstick, New Socks, Winter gloves
- Non-Perishable Foods: Granola / Energy Bars, Trail mix, Raisins, Peanuts, Gum/hard candy
- Hand-Warmers
- Bag of Quarters
- Bottle of Water
- Band-Aids
- Baby Wipes
- Hand Sanitizer
- Wash Cloth
